This recording is part of an oral history project documenting the historic 2004 hotel strike and lock-out in San Francisco that lasted 53 days. The struggle pitted a largely immigrant workforce against multi-national corporations which was part of a larger nationally coordinated contract campaign. In his interview, Bohner discusses healthcare and other reasons for the strike, his role as a picket captain, Local 2 members conducting delegations, and support from politicians and the community.
